ICE Releases Columbia Student After Intervention

A Columbia University student was released by ICE after the university’s administration intervened. The student was initially detained by federal agents who claimed to be looking for a missing person in order to gain entry to university housing. According to a lawsuit filed by the student’s lawyer, the agents’ actions were disputed by Homeland Security, which denied that the agents hid their identities.
